Exchange Rooms connects exchange students. We run the database and all other functionalities of this website. Once you found a match (congratulations!), it’s up to you and your match to decide how to move forward with the sublet. Drafting and signing a subletting contract does not happen via Exchange Rooms, because it should be done according to your individual situation and local legislation.

Many students are able to sublet their room during their exchange, saving them a lot on their budget. Whether you’re allowed to depends on your contract and local housing regulations. Check with your landlord, or contact a local housing information office. In some areas, exchange students even have the legal right to sublet their rooms -like in Flanders, Belgium.

You can just make an account and browse for available rooms without advertising your own room. If you do have one available that you can sublet, though, this is the perfect place to advertise it!
